Cotton and Cork is a home based craft business that began in 2019 after years of sewing as a hobby for friends and family. 

I've been sewing for over 10 years and I love all things "sewing" such as quilting, applique, cross stitch, embroidery, and lately I've started sewing simple clothing patterns. However, my true passion is bag making. For me, making a bag "sparks joy".  And it all starts with fabric. Fabric is my obsession!  The fabric speaks to me and tells me what it wants to be. Yes, I speak to my fabric stash.(Doesn't everybody?).

A couple of years ago, cork fabric became available and I was mesmerized by its touch, qualities, and sewing capabilities. For me, it revolutionized the bag-making world. I haven't looked back since. Honestly, if it wasn't for this miracle fabric, I would not be here today.   

All the bags are hand made by me. I use quality cotton fabrics for linings and exteriors. I mix and match cork with canvas, linen or cotton fabrics that feature unique design prints to create a work of art. Special details like purse feet, rivets, zipper caps, double slide zippers and hardware make each bag special. 

I strive to make the best quality bags I can and I hope you are completely satisfied with your Cotton and Cork bag. Know that it is a one-of-a-kind, special bag. Unique, just like you.
